Some Life Lessons

I don't want this to turn into some sort of gay blog, but I found this post to be worth reading. Even if you're the type of person who never follow links, you should read this one.

This post definetly lacks the punch of Jurassic Beaver; let me say that right off.

Still, I personally found this guy's web site interesting. It does gay-up your blog a little. But on the other hand, just the other day when I was reading something supposedly "hip" on Slate.com, I decried, "Why is everything about whiny lesbian jews around here? Don't white, straight, gentile, men write anything interesting in this world?" I figured the answer was no since we're not edgy enough. Plus we're busy actually doing stuff.

The great thing about blogs is that you can read stuff written by real guys like Tom. This thing with his brain-injured kid is terrible. Stuff like that takes on a whole new dimension when you have a kid yourself.

His comment that everybody wants to save the Earth, but no one wants to help mom do the dishes resonnates with me. I observed this type of thing when we had Erika. I thought we moved out here to be close to my family. It seemed like they were begging us to move out here, but when it came to our hours of need they were actually worse than useless.

I'm poised to rant here, but I'll save it deep down until I snap sometime later.
